First time here. Hamburgers were great! Reminds me of hydes in Hamilton Ohio. Workers were so friendly!

Appeared to have several regular customers, all of which were friendly as well. Other customers recommended local attractions to visit during our trip.
A nod to simpler times. Great mini burgers served hot from the grill to your table. Specials vary daily, Beef Manhattan the day we were there.Other menu items include grilled cheese, curly fries, onion rings...for dessert, funnel fries served with confectionery sugar on the side. Also, they have an extensive selection of milk shakes that goes beyond the basics. ALL of this in a small shop with friendly and attentive staff that serve you well and yet never seem too busy to chat a bit.
Excellent service and food. We love a "hole in the wall", and this doesn't disappoint with it's bean soup, home potatoes, burgers, and shakes. We come to Madison from Kentucky each year and stay a night or two. We eat here three times out of the two days! Fun experience.
It is an institution and people seem to love it so it is for that reason I give it three stars. People should temper their enthusiasm when speaking about the food however as it is ok at best and serious food hounds will not find the same love for it. The hamburgers are like White Castle. The fried fish sandwich was salty. The service is always fast and good. The kids will love it.
Breakfast before 10:00am includes free coffee. Good food. Friendly service. Overall, very inexpensive breakfast!
