An even more pleasant surprise was that the Manager was still the person I remembered from coming here when this was a oil Change service under a different brand. Valvoline! You did something good by holding on to this person.
Next surprise! This Suv's maintenance history was in the Valvoline database from the first owner. It had been serviced well. Think how much that meant to me. I bought it from the second owner but now I had detailed records of extra ordinary service during its first 60,000 miles.
Thanks, Valvoline. On a whim to stop there I came out the winner. Told my wife that there is now a Valvoline store in Madison so she can take her vehicle there too.

So why was I there? If I know so much about mechanics why am I not changing my own oil. I had this SUV for one day, and I was planning on driving to Nashville, N for my daughter's wedding. Sure Don't want anything going wrong on that trip
My vehicle was pulled into the bay after a short wait. Now I am a little better than a shade tree mechanic. In fact I was the chief engineer for my volunteer fire department in a suburb of Nashville. Just to validate the relation this has, this department designed it own fire trucks.
I had just bought nice used vehicle and I was shopping in Madison, Indiana. I remembered using this oil change location and to my surprise when I went there it was Now a Valvoline Oil change! This made me happy because my wife uses Valvoline in Louisville and her experiences have been very good.
So I'm asking the Valvoline guys to give my new used SUV a good going over.
Well the checkout went well and they found that the battery was not giving up a very good capacity test. Did I want to replace it. You bet! I didn't want to have to tell my daughter I was stranded along side the interstate with a dead battery. Then to top that off Valvoline carries the Interstate brand of battery. I have been using interstate batteries for a long time. We picked out the proper size and replaced that old battery.
When I recognized this Manager I knew I would be in good hands. In fact he told me he remembered my face also. This manager is a hands on guy. He believes in working with his crew and not sitting at some desk in a office with a closed door.
Highly recommend!! This place is awesome but what made our experience the best was the employees today. Thank you to Beth, Ian and Billy you all are great definitely make your customers feel welcomed and make sure to have a happy customer drive out!!! We will see you on our next 3000 mile oil change :)!
I used this place before it became Valvoline and was both disappointed and wary to go after the change. When I did go I saw a familiar face and received excellent service. I'm now a regular customer and have never run into any issue when getting my oil changed there. Quick and efficient. And friendly.
