Exterior Pro Roofing was very familiar with the material, and the company owner, Aaron Perry, invented and developed techniques for the specific use of duroplast on box gutters on older houses. I also liked their friendly responsiveness. They were willing to travel from Madison, Indiana to Vincennes. They projected the feeling that they were genuinely interested in my problem and eager to solve it and save historic homes. It concerned me that it took so long to get them to our house because they had a backlog of jobs. But I found no other company with their kind of expertise, so I waited. As long as the weather was dry, they were willing to work, even in the cold. They got our job done early in March.

I called 9 or 10 roofers and only 2 showed up. Exterior pro was very professional and did the job quickly. The new roof looks great and they did a awesome job with the clean up. I highly recommend exterior pro if you need a new roof!
Not all houses are candidates. They check each house before they bring a crew to be sure the job is doable and to be sure other work does not have to be completed before they do their job. If your house is a candidate, they estimate the material needed, give you a rough estimate and later email a final estimate, with the promise that they will try to go under the estimate if possible. In my case they did. The initial deposit that they requested to hold our place in line was reasonable.
The installation team worked in 12 hour shifts, basically from sun up to sun down. They were courteous, they had safety equipment to prevent injury from possible falls. They completed our gutters in two days. One thing we underestimated was how beautiful the final result turned out to be. They have a selection of colored trim that snaps on and covers the metal that anchors the material on the outer edge of the gutter. It fit our house beautifully. They did a job that was wonderful and well worth the money to hire experts like these. I no longer have to worry about my house, and I have a 20 year warranty. I am recommending Aaron Perry and his company, Exterior Pro Roofing, Inc, for their work on our 1910 house in the Historic District of Vincennes, Indiana. The house has the old built-in box style guttering that overhangs out from the house at the eaves. The wood was coated with a tin/lead alloy called terne metal that was soldered together at the seams. It was assumed that the gutters would be repainted every few years. The cost to hire someone with equipment to repair and paint was more than I could afford over some years and finding someone who would do it correctly became less and less possible. Some contractors thought they were repairing the gutters, but the materials they used actually made them worse. So, our gutters finally began to fail a few years ago. I began exploring options outside the box. A friend told me about the product Duroplast, a tough plastic liner that he saw used on a job.
Spoke with Jamie at Exterior Pro on Wednesday to schedule an estimate for a new roof and and estimate to repair my damaged box gutters vs to replace them with regular gutters (assuming that replacing with regular gutters would be less expensive anyway). The day of the estimate (Friday) I got a message from Jamie stating that the Commercial side does the box gutters and they are too busy right now so the company was going to pass on my business.....umm, ok, thanks.
